12% of Internet Users Have Downloaded a Podcast December 1st, 2006 by Dave Jackson
A new report is show documenting the growth of Podcasting. These results come from a nationally-representative telephone survey by the Pew Internet & American Life Project from August 1 – August 31 of 2,928 adults. The portion of the survey that covered podcast downloading was administered to 972 internet users. The margin of error on the internet sample is plus or minus 3.5 percentage points
The reports compares numbers gathered in February -April 2006 to numbers in August in 2006. The data shows how total internet users have that have downloaded a podcast has gone from 7% to 12%. The data breaks down the information by age, sex, household income and more. The full report can be read at
