Hi, I searched the forums and couldn't find any recent posts re. portable podcasting equipment. Technology changes so fast and I could only find posts from 2005, 2006.

Does anyone have any recommendations for portable podcasting equipment? I'm not sure what digital recorders are out there that take at last 2 mics. I've been googling, but if you have any recommendations, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks. smile.gif

There is the Samson H4 that takes 2 mics via XLR or 1/4" plug. It serves as a USB audio interface too if you want to use your mics through the recorder into your computer. There is the H4n too. Look for it there at the site.

Then the Samson H2 which takes an 1/8" plugged mic. I am not sure if you can record with the built in mics at the same time you are recording with the external one.

But all that is a more expensive than what I work with. I am still using my iRiver recorder I bought off of ebay for $30 over 2 years ago.

The Samson h4 is the best one! Really great sound quality, and it is so easy to use!
