Can't say a lot about it yet, but I can say that something big is getting ready to happen to Podcast Pickle. I am not talking about a rebuild, or anything like that. I am talking big.

A press release should go out Tuesday, then I can talk more.

That is great news! Whatever it ends up being. It is always good to hear that big things ae in store for the Pickle. I know we have to wait until Tuesday, but do you have any other hints?

I can say that the news will break tuesday on techcrunch from what I am told.

One thought I had is that Podcast Pickle is developing it's own standalone feedreader/player like iTunes or Zune. Although if it's really big I'm guessing that it could be a buyout. Maybe Microsoft or Apple is buying the Pickle?

Acid Frog, LOL, sorry it does not. From what I understand it will break on Techcrunch tomorrow.

Techcrunch appears to be down. Hopefully it will come back in a bit and make the big announcement. I really hope it's something positive for the Pickle.

They appear to be back up but nothing about the Pickle yet. The top story is about free tacos.

HEY! Don't knock free tacos, buddy. ;-) But then again, I have never had a pickle taco. Maybe a free Podcast Pickle taco is the news?

Hmm. There wasn't much in the article about how this applies to podcasts. I assume podcasters will be running ads in their shows. I really like the idea of monetizing the long tail, but the idea of basing it on referrals seems too much like a pyramid scheme. There wasn't much specific information in the article, though, so maybe I'll warm up to it when I learn more. Will this be covered soon on Today in Podcasting?

Not as exciting as it was made out to be.

The only benefit I could see to podcasters who don't join up would be the trickle-down effect from those visiting Podcast Pickle.

This should give us the operating capital to make many of the improvements we have been wanting to make. Until now I have financed podcast pickle 100% out of my pocket. My pockets are only so deep.

With more capital this should bring to us, I hope to move The Pickle into a new era, offering services that we have not been able to before.

Ah, that's the real big news. I'm looking forward to the future Pickle.
