Let's try something. Name your three favorite podcasts OTHER THAN YOUR OWN. Let's not try to flatter anyone or play favorites here. I want three shows that you absolutely never miss.
Here are mine, in no particular order:
One Minute How-To: I find about 75% of the episodes of this podcast to be very useful and the rest to be at least moderately useful. For a show that relies on listener participation and publishes as often as this one, that's pretty darned good.
Short Cummings Audio: Kevin cracks me up. Nuf said.
Hardcore History: My only criticism is that it only publishes once a month. By God it's worth it, though. I love history and I've learned a lot from this show.
Spartacus Roosevelt

Oh La La Franco a Go Go A Dutch show featuring 60's French music. Consistently awesome, if only monthly.
Hungbunny makes my show look positively commercial.
Do or DIY with People Like Us is admittedly a radio rebroadcast from WFMU, but always an amazing collection of
plunderphonic goodness

Here's my 3,
Mustache Rangers: It grabs my warped sense of humor by the stones.
Ozone Nightmare: It reminds me of late night conversations I had working in my college library.
Squadcast: Shows have been few and far between lately, but I still clamor for more episodes.

Tag In The SeamTwilight and ThebesAll Axis RadioIt's not easy to pick three... and they keep switching around! However, these are ones that have been in my playlist the longest and I never let a new episode hang too long w/out listening.

My list changes constantly as well.
Currently:

Interesting topic idea.
I generally listen to my podcasts on a dynamic playlist set on alphabetical order with repeat on, so by the time I make it to the "last" show alphabetically, new shows have filled in behind it. However, there are a very few choice shows that I, on occasion, have jumped to as soon as the new episode has arrived. 3 of these shows are (In no order except the order in my podcatcher, which is not in any particular order):
7th Son
Teknikal Diffikulties
The Mustache Rangers
That wasn't terribly difficult, actually. Though I don't know what I'd do if Smart Bomb Radio and Rambling Retard Rampage were still producing shows.
(edit)
Actually, those are in a particular order. The one in 6 chance of them being in Alphabetical order came up. Amusing.

I'm currently subscribed to 194 podcasts, so it's kind of hard to pick just three. Here's an attempt:

Tough and a bit unfair. Limiting it to three leaves out so many good podcasts
That being said....
- GabberJaW - Still one of the best couples cast on the net
- Barely Podcasting - Of course
- Musicnerve - Eclectic music at its finest.

And then a whole ton of runners-up that are worth mentioning and I couldn't live without:
Redboy
Short Cummings
10th Wonder
Eclectic Review
TD Gaming
TWiT
The Onion (Audio & Video)
And my kids' favorite: Dr. Floyd (I'd still listen even if they didn't like it. Love that show.)
And in video:
Ask a Ninja (of course)
OK, that was more than 3. They're the reason I rarely watch TV or listen to the radio. Sosumi.

I normally listen to podcasts via a playlist that plays in the order episodes are downloaded. But the ones that I allow to always jump to the top of the queue regardless of when they arrive in my podcatcher are
Israelisms,
Croncast, and
Atomic Suburbia. So I guess they are my favourites.
But I really really really really really really really really like the other 45-odd shows on my subscription list too.

Damnit, I can only narrow it down to 5 favorites, my lucky number (same reason 29 is
Barely’s lucky number).
Girl600 is great talk;
Radio BSOTS great music;
Gabber Jaw great couple talk; I always have to take my pill with Dan Klass (
The Bitterest Pill); and my guilty pleasure that
Wonderful World of Danny. My real number one favorite podcast is really just that next blue dot in my iTunes Podcasting Folder!

I have had such a hard time with this, until I tricked myself. I let ALL my shows back up and see which shows were the first three I listened to. I couldn't just pick 3 from listening. It is way too hard, so many great ones, and I find new ones all the time that I really like, but here are my three:
The Twisted Pickle - My Podcasting Mentor
7th Son - Kick ass story, I have listened 3 times thus far
The Unreal OC - A new favorite. I wish they came out more frequently
ABJay

id say my favorite 3 would be
1.) Keith and the Girl
2.) Mysterious Universe
and the harry potter geek in me says the third ones a split tie between Mugglecast and Pottercast
Anime World Order
Sep 4 2007, 09:13 AM
I can only list three? That means that when someone I know finds this post and doesn't see their name, they'll be mad that I didn't list them.
Dave and Joel's Fast Karate for the GentlemanThe Greatest Movie EVER!Lather's BlatherThe fact that these podcasts mention me on a regular basis is purely coincidental! Actually I didn't have space to list all of the shows that do that, but I figure these guys would benefit most from being plugged on a forum like this. Still, it's interesting that nothing I listen to is what anyone else here listens to.
