A co-worker of my wife's who saw the Cap Times article about our
How-To podcast subsequently recognized our hostess, Madeline Merced, on national TV last week! We had no idea!
I have a link to a Good Morning America story about YouTuber's posting health and beauty tips online. It's very similar, and likely inspired by the NY Times' article in which we appeared. Actually, I've got two links. One is just the movie, and the other is an accompanying story. They're not huge mentions, but Madeline is shown briefly twice, and is most likely the one they allude to in the end of the piece (that got picked up by a Video On Demand Channel). Very cool!
The whole piece, which aired July 12 (look for the video player in the upper right area of the screen)Just the videoThe NY TImes aticle. And if anybody missed it, here's the Cap Time's article Cool stuff!

Yeah, big congrats. This is good exposure for all of us in an "independent media rocks" sort of way.

Wow, congrats! One at a time we'll get more attention to the people offering real content. I hope you can build on this.

Thanks a lot everybody. Sorry I didn't back sooner.
This and the other recent press exposure and connections we've made leads me to believe that if the first 12 to 14 months of our podcast was a "building" year, the next twelve months will lead to a return on our investment, and even more opportunities. We hope!
