The first of my podcasts for 2010...4 months into the year. Wow. Somebody failed. I’ll let you point fingers at me and curse without getting too pissy about it.

In between life, technical difficulties and my current Twitter addiction, I finally managed to record a new podcast! The whole process felt very much like my first time; given that it’s been so long since I last recorded anything. Just in time for the new year comes my final podcast for 2009: The random rambles of J number 21!

I was reluctant to promise another podcast by the years’ end in my last random ramble, because I was unsure if I’d be able to knock one out. But knock one out I have! In the face of adversity, a malfunctioning laptop, and a sick PC - I managed to hustle out podcast for you to enjoy the festive season and ring in the New year. I’m so good to you. I really am! ;P

As has been a custom of mine for the past 2 years I’ve been podcasting, my final podcast for the year is all about Christmas. To me, Christmas isn’t just December 25th, but the whole final week of December. So in my own little world, it’s still Christmas until January 1st rings in.

I complain that life is boring. And then the universe chucks somebody in front of my car for me to run over! I appreciate the ’the shaking up of things’, but that was hardly what I asked for. And I doubt the poor victim wasn’t pleased. Worry not. My tale of how I ran somebody over isn’t as grim as it sounds. But it did happen. Something I should stop mentioning to people. It’s doing my credibility no favours, and now nobody trusts me enough to call shotgun in my car.

Podcast 20 comes chock-a-block full of random goodness. Which unlike a Christmas dinner, won’t leave your trousers feeling a size too tight.

It was only when I posted this that I realized: This is only my third podcast for 2009! Bloody hell. I feel so ashamed! I guess I’ll have to do something to make it up to you all. I should. But I probably won’t. Shit, if you don’t know me by now...

Life has been pretty slow in 2009 so far, and it seems to be having an adverse affect on time: which is flying by at warp speeds. It’s unreal, and I’m finding it pretty hard to get my head around.

Podcast number 19 gives an insight into me having a reflective moment. Talking about my outlook on my lift right now, the past, the future and what I REALLY think about Japan. (Excuse me whilst I put my MTV diary voice on...) You think you know, but’chooo have no idea.

With the 19th instalment of The random rambles of J, I’m pretty much giving you what you’ve been getting since day one. Only with more life talk, less S-bombs, la couple of poppin’ P’s (It really has been too long since I grabbed a mic) and no slagging off of a game I don’t like (so be prepared for a game to get torn a new place where shit comes out in podcast 20!)

It’s been a couple of months, some slogs, late nights and a couple of sunny days - but my 18th podcast is out! I blame gaming. It’s been eating away at my time like a Pac-Man. Just *gobble-gobble-gobble* I swear I spend more time in Kijuju than I do my real life. Chris and Sheva feel like family! My priorities are clearly a shambles.

After so long of only enjoying games vicariously through websites and friends, it’s nice to be re-affirmed as a gamer again. I was beginning to lose touch with it all, which is a shame given gaming has been such a huge part of my life for so long. So it’s good to be back in the game, in every sense of the word. I feel like a newbie in an old crowd, which is odd. Rediscovering gaming all over again. Still finding my feet, but getting there surely and anything but slowly. I’ve been wasting nights away making up for lost time. I think it’s safe (or un-safe) to say, the gamer in me is BACK and in HD!

With a couple months transpiring since my last podcast and this one - I have a whole lot to share. So, what do you get for nothing but your time and some bandwidth? Well I’ll tells ya...

I also go on a bit of a rant of how amazing Sonic & the secret rings will be when it releases. The random rambles of J #4 - What is the deal with Square Enix!?

The longest podcast in the world!?! It just may well might be, clocking in at well over an hour!! I had a terrible block over the first half of October, so when it finally lifted it was like I had a months worth of stuff to get out of my system. Podcasts of this length will not be a habit. I know, I know; this podcast is FAR too long, but I didn’t want to cut too much out. So see this as a present from me to you for taking so long to get this out.

So what do I ramble on about this time? Well I review Kingdom Hearts II and also go off on one about Square Enix and why I think they suck at the moment. (FIGHT THE SYSTEM!!) I won’t kiss their behinds just because they’re responsible for Final Fantasy. I think Square Enix are crap right now and explain why.

I dropped the birate of this random ramble to decrease the file size. It’s not like the quality was good to begin with, so you’re not missing out on anything.

What have we got here!? Number 3? Wow! To the 1 listener I have out there, here ya go! What goes down in this random ramble? Well lots of talking...talking...and more talking. A couple of surprises. But don’t get too excited; my surprises are rarely good surprises.

This random ramble has me talking about why I love the Wii and why I’m not sold on the PS3 and fighting the urge to go into one on why it still sucks (and will always suck) being a UK gamer.

I got too familiar with the microphone in this one. (A sign that my "podcasting" skills aren’t really improving, though I claim they are in this random ramble). I need to stop talking to close to it. There are a couple of moments when I laugh and pronounce P’s and it’s like *PSSSCCCFFFFHHHHH!!!!* So you have been warned!! I

I’ll also mention that I did this random ramble earlier this week and I got the Kingdom Hearts 2 release date wrong. I thought it was out the day I recorded the intro, but it wasn’t. I forgot games release on Friday’s not Monday’s. (Duh!!) That’s how long it’s been since I’ve bought a new game! Stop reading!!! Start downloading!! Right click. Save as.

Here it is!! My answering machine and e-mail inbox have been blowing up with people wanting to know what’s happening with this and when I was gonna be putting this out. (Yeeeah rooiiiight!!!!)

This random ramble is (as the banner states) about being a gamer in the UK and why it sucks a majority of the time. To fellow UK gamers who are checking this out, you’ll probably know what I’m on about and will know what kinda stuff I’ll be talking about. And to my US peeps checking this out - you’ll appreciate how good you have it. I’ve put "1. Delays", because no doubt I’ll be hopping on the mic at a later date to discuss another sucky aspect of being a gamer in the UK.

I mention in this random ramble how short this is and how I’d consider making them longer! *Ha!* That was until I edited it all together and saw what the final piece clocked in at! I will not be intentionally making these longer. So forget the bit where say I’ll be doing such, okay?

This random ramble (I’m reluctant to call it a podcast) is basically me ranting on about those games that I didn’t like all that much, but I played through regardless.
