Also, I mention Liquic blue from being in Chicago in the poscast, errrr, they are from San Diego, a lovely city with an awfully trite downtown. See San Diego / Tijuana post for that.

Interview with Jill: 1 of 2

This is an interview with Jill. We talk about Thailand, Mexico, Hip Hop, and what makes a girl groove. The interview is actually done in two parts. This was the first shot, then Jill wanted to shamelessly plug her swimwear line, what I wasn't expecting was the Eminem story she tells us in part two. There is also a little song at the end of this one by Treologic, "Stick 'em up!"

Carnaval do Brasil

A carnival is a public celebration or parade combining some elements of a circus and public street party, generally during the Carnival Season. Carnival is traditionally a Roman Catholic and, to a lesser extent, Christian Orthodox celebration. Most Protestant and non-Christian areas do not celebrate it, with some Fundamentalist Protestant groups condemning the celebration, although the word carnival has passed into the vernacular and taken on secular meanings in most areas of the Western world.

The Carnival Season is a holiday period during the two weeks before the traditional Christian fast of Lent. The origin of the name "Carnival" is unclear as there are several theories. The most commonly known theory states that the name comes from the Italian carne- or carnovale, from Latin carnem (meat) + levare (lighten or raise), literally "to remove the meat" or "stop eating meat". It has also been claimed that it comes from the Latin words caro (meat) and vale (farewell), hence "Farewell to meat". ...as borrowed from wiki -Ryan. If I wrote the wiki post, my definition would be: Carnaval is a celebration of life, excess, and sex. That's it. Enjoy the mix.
